The typical candidate is familiar with data structure in subscriber data management and can thoroughly navigate Setup. Certified Marketing Cloud Administrators can successfully troubleshoot account configuration and user requests.
Upon completion of the Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator program, candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of all the features available to end users and the configuration options in the Marketing Cloud. They will be equipped to maintain the Marketing Cloud platform, respond to common business requirements, and perform administrative functions. With 3 to 6 months of experience administering a Marketing Cloud instance and prior experience with digital marketing, candidates will be well-prepared for the practical challenges of the role.
While the exam candidate is not expected to know SQL/Developer tasks or programmable languages, he or she should have a solid knowledge of governance and compliance concerning digital marketing. He or she should be able to identify best security practices for data management, users, and permissions, as well as how to implement account configuration, including business unit structure, permissions, and security. The candidate needs to understand how to evaluate data quality fully, configure marketing Cloud products, troubleshoot account configuration and user requests, and monitor accounts. He or she is required to have a solid foundation in marketing cloud extension products and features reports for marketing, marketing cloud personalization, and audience building, as well as knowledge of marketing cloud integration offerings.
The exam for the Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Administrator consists of 60 multiple-choice questions that must be answered within 105 minutes. To pass, candidates must answer at least 67% of the questions correctly. The certification is awarded upon successful completion of the exam. There is a $ 200 registration fee, plus applicable taxes.
