The Salesforce marketing associate certification exam helps candidates validate their expertise in certified marketing. The foundational certification was designed for candidates interested in career marketing within the Salesforce system. Candidates should be familiar with the Salesforce platform and may have up to six months of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement.
Before taking the exam, candidates should be able to design and implement solutions using the Marketing Cloud Account Engagement’s automation capabilities that meet customer’s business requirements and long-term engagement goals. The exam is an entry-level, multiple-choice exam intended for individuals with up to 6 months of experience. It was designed to prepare Salesforce Trailblazers for careers in marketing by validating their foundational marketing knowledge. This includes what marketing Cloud Engagement is and how it solves business needs based on Salesforce best practices.
Candidates who apply for the Salesforce Marketing Associate Certification exam should have the experience, knowledge, and skills to create a solid foundation in the following areas. First, they should understand the general marketing concepts, such as metrics, opt/in and out, target audience, and compliance and privacy basics. They should have a foundational knowledge of Marketing cloud Engagement components and functionalities. They should be able to navigate Marketing Cloud Engagement, be familiar with its features, and understand how to use digital marketing tools to engage with customers, drive leads, and support business objectives. They need to understand journeys and Marketing Cloud Engagement Journey Builder and know and be able to use Marketing Cloud Engagement email tools and their multiple features. Candidates should also be familiar with Marketing Cloud Engagement’s reporting and analytics and be able to use it to track key email metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
Salesforce also offers community study groups that enable candidates to gain knowledge, exchange ideas and to give and receive tips for preparing for the exam.
