This exam is for security and network professionals responsible for designing and implementing infrastructures containing Fortinet devices. It tests applied knowledge of the design, implementation, operation, and integration of an OT security solution consisting of FortiOS7.2.0, FortiAnalyer 7.2.0, FortiSIEM 6.5.0, and FortiNAC 8.5. Candidates receive the Fortinet NSE Exam OT Society Architect badge when the exam is completed successfully.
This 60-minute exam consists of 35 multiple-choice questions. It is scored as a pass-or-fail endeavor. A score report is available for interested candidates at Pearson VUE. The exam is available in English only.
Successful exam candidates have applied skills and knowledge of asset management and three other important areas of concern. Asset management requires that the candidates explain the fundamentals and concepts of OT. They are also expected to demonstrate the OT architecture with Fortinet products and to be able to configure the security fabric for the OT network. They will be tasked to implement device detection and are expected to understand how to characterize devices for OT asset management.
Network access control is another critical area for which candidates should prepare. They need to know how to apply authentication to control access to various types of devices. They should also fully understand how to configure internal segmentation and explain the Industrial Ethernet protocols. They should prepare to explain OT Availability and Redundancy and industrial ethernet networks.
The third topic likely to be covered on the exam is OT network protection, where candidates must identify industrial protocols and signatures, and monitoring risk assessment, where candidates must implement logging and monitoring with FortiAnalyzer and FortiSIEM.
