This exam tests candidates’ applied knowledge of the integration, administration, management, and troubleshooting of an enterprise firewall solution composed of FortiOS 7.2.4, FortManager 7.2.2, and FortiAnalyzer 7.2.2. Candidates should be network and security professionals responsible for the administration, design, and support of an enterprise security infrastructure comprising many FortiGate devices.
The exam is a comprehensive 60-minute test with 35 multiple-choice questions. It is given on a pass/fail platform and is available in English and Japanese. It is intended for candidates with applied knowledge and skills in system configuration who can implement the Fortinet Security Fabric, configure hardware acceleration, and use different operation modes from an HA cluster. These central management candidates should have a firm grasp of what it means to be a central manager.
Exam candidates should also be able to use FortiManager as a local FortiGuard server and configure web filtering and application control. They should also have a firm grasp of configuring an enterprise network’s intrusion prevention system (IPS). Candidates should also be able to implement SCFP and Border Gateway Protocol to route enterprise traffic. Candidates should also be able to implement iPsec VPN Version 2 and auto-discovery VPN (ADVPN) to enable on-demand VPN tunnels between sites.
FortiNET recommends numerous resources for candidates to attain the knowledge and skills that are addressed on the test. The recommended training is available as a basis for exam prep. They are also encouraged to have hands-on experience with the exam objectives and topics. Candidates should also become familiar with the administration, design, and support of an enterprise security infrastructure that uses FortiGate devices.
Fortinet provides candidates with a set of sample questions that represent the content of the exam according to the types of questions asked and the scope of their content.
