The EXIN Green IT Citizen tests professionals in the IT industry and those who are not directly in the industry about their awareness and understanding of sustainable practices. The tests are meant to raise awareness and give candidates as much information as possible to encourage them to practice energy conservation and earth preservation. Companies often ask their employees to take these tests so that they will become more aware of green energy practices.
The certificate primarily focuses on blending IT industry employees with highly sustainable practices. It increases their awareness, teaches them Green measures for the various components associated with IT, and provides organizational measures on Green IT.
Some of the more important subjects that are covered include the Fundamentals of Green IT, which teaches an understanding of IT’s environmental impact and the principles of sustainable IT practices. The candidate also becomes familiar with the importance of reducing carbon footprints through IT, a method to reduce energy consumption in the IT industry.
Candidates learn best practices for energy-efficient computing and how to utilize energy-saving device settings. Additionally, the test has an entire section on E-waste management. This includes ways electronic waste can be disposed of and recycled. It also addresses the lifecycle of IT equipment, its environmental impact, and the importance of e-waste recycling programs to encourage candidates to start these types of programs.
Another section of the test introduces candidates to energy-efficient data centers and specific techniques for reducing their energy use in those centers.
The test is designed to be manageable, lasting only 30 minutes and featuring 20 multiple-choice questions. Candidates must achieve at least 65% correct answers to pass. It is a closed-book exam, and no electronic equipment is allowed in the testing room. The test is available in English, German, Portuguese, and Brazilian, making it accessible to a wide range of professionals.

I keep coming back
It seems like the AcedExam team is my best friend lately. I'm back again, this time for my GRITC: EXIN Green IT Citizen exam. And surprise, surprise (NOT! ), I'm way ahead of the game.
