The FortiSASE Administrator certification exam is part of the Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist—Secure Access Service Edge certification track. It validates candidates’ abilities to design, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Fortinet SASE solutions. It was created for network and security professionals responsible for developing, deploying, maintaining, and analyzing logs in a Fortinet SASE solution.
The exam is 60 minutes long and contains 30 multiple-choice questions. It is given on a pass-or-fail basis in English only. There are four main sections of the exam, and plenty of exam prep resources are available to help candidates pass it.
The first section covers SASE architecture and components. To pass this section, candidates should understand how to integrate FortiSASE in a hybrid network, identify FortiSASE components, and construct FortiSASE deployment cases. SASW deployment is presented by requiring candidates to demonstrate their expertise in implementing various types of user onboarding methods, how to configure SASW administration settings, and how to configure and apply security posture checks and compliance rules.
The exam’s SIA, SSA and SPA portion requires candidates to design security profiles to perform content inspection and deploy SD-WAN using FortiSASW. They will also be tasked to deploy ZTNA.
The final section of the exam covers analytics. In this part, candidates must identify potential security threats using FortiSASW logs. They will also be challenged to configure dashboards, FortiView, and logging settings. Additionally, they will be asked to analyze reports on user traffic and security issues.
FortiSASE offers many resources to attain the knowledge and skills presented in the exam. The recommended training is a foundation for the exam prop. Candidates are strongly encouraged to have hands-on experience with the exam subjects and objectives. Candidates are required to have 2 years of networking experience and 2 years of experience on network security.
